Engine 7 Med 7	821 S. 6th St.	1871	1871	2009	Engine 7 dedicated Oct. 7, 1871. Motorized June 1919. Added Med 7 on April 13, 2003. Closed Jan. 11, 2009.
Engine 10	1419 E. Washington	1874	1874	1924	Engine 10 organized Jan 13, 1874. Closed Dec 25, 1924, when Engine 10 relocated to 1761 Frankfort Avenue.
Engine 11	1122 Rogers Street	1883	1883	1978	Engine 11 organized on Jan. 3, 1883. Original address 1122 Ward Avenue. Relocated to Rubel Avenue in 1978.
Ladder 4 Engine 12 District Chief	2301 Jefferson St.	1890	1890	1937	Opened 1891 with Hook & Ladder 4. Added Engine 12 in 1924. Added district chief from 1924 to 1937. Both companies reorganized as Quad 4 and relocated to 100 North 34th Street on Feb. 20, 1937.
Truck 3 Chemical Engine 2 Ladder 6 Engine 10 Quad 6 Engine 21	1761 Frankfort Avenue	1891	1891	Active	Truck 3 organized 1891. Replaced by Chemical Engine 2. Deactivated in 1909. Replaced by Truck 6. Added Engine 10 in Dec. 1924. Both reorganized as Quad 6 in 1936. Swapped quarters with Engine 21 on May 1, 1967.
Engine 2 Ladder 5 Water Tower Headquarters Ladder 1	619 West Jefferson Street	1891	1891	1937	Housed Engine 2, Hook and Ladder 5, the Water Tower, plus the chief's administrative offices and the chief's buggy. Hook and Ladder 1 replaced Hook and Ladder 5 in 1909.
Engine 14	1024 Logan Street	1891	1891	1937	Opened in 1891. Closed in 1937 when quad companies were organized.
Engine 3	806 East Main Street	1893	1893	1924	Dedicated Nov. 9, 1893. Housed Engine 3. The Preston Lodge of the Order of Masons owned and occupied the third floor. Engine 3 moved to Hancock Street in 1924.
Engine 4	1614 W. Main St.	1894	1894	1937	Engine 4 disbanded in 1937.
Engine 15 Truck 3 District Chief Med 15	1328 S. Preston Street	1896	1896	Active	Opened Apr. 17, 1896. Added Truck 3 from 1899 to 1937, and from 1939 to 1973. Added district chief from 1937 to 1964. Added Med 15 on Oct. 8, 1995.
Engine 16 District Chief	1509 S. 6th Street	1896	1896	1973	Engine 16 was organized April 17, 1896. Added district chief from 1911 to 1937. Closed 1973 when Engine 16 relocated to 1500 South 6th Street.
Chemical 3 Engine 18 Chemical Unit 1 District Chief Med 18	2600 S. 4th St.	1900	1900	Active	Chemical Engine 3 placed in service on Mar 3, 1900. Replaced by Engine 18 on Mar 1, 1902. Motorized by 1919. Added Chemical Unit 1 in later decades. Added district chief from 1964 to 1972. Added Med 18 on Jan. 19, 2003.
Chemical 4 Engine 20 Quad 7 Quint 7 Truck 7 Engine 11	1330 Bardstown Rd.	1900	1900	1978	Chemical Engine 4 was organized in 1900. Deactivated in 1905 when Engine 20 placed in service. Engine 20 relocated in 1915. Occupied by Truck 7 in 1915. Reorganized as Quad 7 on Jun. 1, 1937.  Reorganized as Quint 7 in 1960. Reorganized as Truck 7 and Engine 11 in the later 1960s. Relocated to Rubel Avenue in 1978.
Engine 6 Med 6	2425 Portland Avenue	1903	1903	Active	Opened in 1903 as a two-story station. In 1969, the second story was removed and the building remodeled into a single-story fire station. Added Med 6 in 1995.
Engine 21 Quad 6 Truck 6 Engine 4 Quint 6	2620 Frankfort Avenue	1908	1908	Active	Engine 21 organized in 1908 at 2620 Frankfort Avenue. Exchanged quarters with Quad 6 on May 1, 1967. Quad 6 reorganized as Truck 6 and Engine 4 in Oct. 1972. Reorganized as Quint 6 on Dec. 17, 1995.
Engine 22	3627 West Broadway	1914	1914	1984	Engine 22 placed in service in 1914. Relocated to 3228 Riverpark Drive on July 13, 1984.
Engine 8	725 S. 13th Street	1915	1915	1969	Opened in 1915 with Engine 8. First black fire company in 1923. Motorized in 1925. Integrated in 1955. Relocated to 2900 Hilkes lane in 1969.
Engine 20 District Chief	1735 Bardstown Road	1915	1915	Active	Opened with Engine 20 in 1915. Added Civil Defense vehicle in 1954. Added district chief from 1965 to 1978. Added Med 20 in 1999.
Ladder 5 Engine 17 Med 17 District Chief	1824 Garland Ave.	1910	1910	Active	Opened in 1910 with Engine 17 and Truck 5. Drill tower built net to station in 1916. Motorized in 1923. Housed district chief at various times. Med 17 added on Oct 8. 1995.
Engine 13	100 N. 34th Street	1924	1924	1937	Opened Jun. 2, 1924. Closed Feb. 20, 1937, when Engine 13 was replaced by Quad 4 and relocated to 100 North 34th Street.
Engine 23 Truck 8 Quad 8 Quint 8	501 Ashland Avenue	1924	1924	Active	Engine 23 placed in service Dec. 1924 with Truck 8. Reorganized as Quad 8 in July 1937. Reorganized as Truck 8 and Engine 8 in 1972. Reorganized as Quint 8 for short period during 2000.
Engine 2 Truck 1 Headquarters	1135 West Jefferson St.	1937	1937	Active	Opened June 28, 1937, with Engine 2 and Truck 1.
Quad 5	1150 South 28th Street	1937	1937	1974	Quad 5 organized in 1937. Closed in 1974, when Quad 5 relocated to 3401 Bohne Avenue as Truck 5.
Engine 9 Squrt 9	417 E. Breckinridge Street	1946	1946	Active	Opened on July 15, 1946, as Engine 9, all-black fire company. Integrated in 1955. Reorganized as Squrt 9 on Mar 4, 1990.
Quad 9 Engine 14 Truck 9 Quint 9 Med 14	3511 Fincastle Road	1953	1953	Active	Quad 9 organized on Jul 31, 1953. Reorganized as Engine 14 and Truck 9 in 1978. Reorganized as Quint 9 on Nov. 20, 1994. Added Med 14 on Oct. 8, 1995.
Engine 23 Squrt 23 Med 23	706 Kenwood Drive	1956	1956	Active	Opened Feb. 1, 1956 with Engine 23 returned to service. Civil Defense vehicle at station during 1950s and 1960s. Renamed Squrt 23 on Aug 21, 1992. Med 23 added Nov. 28, 1999.
Quad 10 Quint 10 Med 3	3401 Dutchman's Lane	1957	1957	Active	Opened on Aug. 16, 1957 as Quad 10. Reorganized in Oct. 1975 as Truck 10 and Engine 3. Reorganized on Oct. 4, 1994, as Quint 10. Added Med 3 on Oct. 8, 1995.
