RALEIGH - Mini-pumper at Station 16, recently modified at the fire department shop. The 1986 Chevy brush truck received a new and higher suspension. One of two booster reels was removed, and the remaining reel was relocated lower on the body, in the rear of the bed. A bed for forestry was installed, and a high-rise pack was added. Mini 1 responds to woods fires, parking deck fires, and other special responses requiring off-road or four wheel-drive capability. Mike Legeros photographs.
