RALEIGH - Two alarms at 2304 Heartley Drive. Two-story single-family dwelling with 2,975 square-feet. Built 1987. Reported explosion at location, then reported structure fire. Heavy fire on second floor upon arrival. Weather conditions required slower travel, once units turned
into subdivision from Creedmoor Road. Exterior operations including blitz monitor and aerial stream. Hydrant on corner negated need for water shuttle. Dispatched units included first alarm as P351, L25, Tanker 366, Tanker 258, DHFD P1, EMS 22; working fire with EMS 15, D3; and seond alarm as DHFD P4, P3, SHFD P261, P392, WFFD E5. Other units on scene included BLFD P121, Car 1, Car 2, Air 12, DHFD Car 19, and WC 1. Believe some of the second alarm units were returned to service.
