Beginning April 13, the City of Raleigh Fire Department will temporarily close Fire Station 5 for renovations. It is anticipated the work will be completed in six months.<\/p>\n<p>Fire Station Five, located at 300 Oberlin Road, was opened in 1961. While the work is being done, Engine 5 will be housed at Station 6, located at 2601 Fairview Road.<\/p>\n<p>The work includes complete renovation of approximately 4,700 square feet within the existing fire station.
