Announcement
Due to responsibilities and obligations which have accumulated over a period of time, John C. Wallace of Troy, North Carolina, former President of the North Carolina Firemen's Association, finds himself in the position that he can no longer continue as Editor of the Hose and Nozzle.
(Note: The New Masthead)
As a result of this resignation, the Hose and Nozzle, Inc., Troy, North Carolina, has made arrangements, with A. L. Sonn and Associates, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, to assume the duties of Publisher. Mr. Sonn, has been associated with the Hose and Nozzle as public relations director.
Now heading the publication editorially is Glenn Ray, a member of the Forsyth County Fire Department, who has been connected with our publication in the capacity of Field Representative and Associate Director of Public Relations. Glenn has been a familiar sight at fire stations throughout the State and has had speaking engagements with numerous groups on the topic of "Organizing Rural Fire Departments."
Arrangements are now being put into effect, where-by the Hose and Nozzle will have editorial representation through-out the Carolinas by our associate and contributing editors, who have up until this point been associated with us on a more or less inactive basis. They will be announced in the next issue.
We will maintain two offices in North Carolina and one in South Carolina.
Due to the loss of Mr. Wallace, we find ourselves with an enormous task. The Hose and Nozzle welcomes constructive criticism and assures you that the utmost effort will be put forth to publish the type of periodical that you prefer.
