Wes Craven's New Nightmare (1994)

Freddy's back, but not in the way you'd expect.  The five-clawed killer
is now, get this, stalking actress Heather Langenkamp, who starred IN A
NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET and who is being courted by New Line Cinema to
star in yet another Freddy film!

Magic ticket, anyone?

What sounds smart really isn't, because the story forces a focus on
Langenkamp who is, frankly, an awful actress.  I lasted all of thirty
minutes before leaving sans refund (courtesy of Raleigh's Carmike 7, who
refused that particular request).

Horror fans could probably endure this, but, for yours truly, this was
one NIGHTMARE that I had to walk out on.
