BEVERLY HILLS NINJA is just as dumb as you'd expect. Chris Farley (BLACK SHEEP) endures every abuse imaginable as the nincompoop ninja who leaves his secret island enclave to help a blonde beauty (Nicollette Sheridan) crack a counterfeit ring. Director Dennis Dugan (HAPPY GILMORE) isn't interested in subtlety-- his obstacle course for Farley includes furniture to be knocked over, an auto- matic seat belt to be tangled with, and a pile of California doggie doo to be stepped in. Very little is very funny, though, admitted- ly, even *I* was unprepared for the half-moon that Farley flashes while on stage at a strip club. His doing Demi is a sight that won't be topped any time soon. (Rated "PG-13"/89 min.) Grade: D Copyright 1997 by Michael J. Legeros
