Traveller

TRAVELLER is an endlessly interesting, though only occasionally 
exciting drama, about a protective clan of Irish-American con men, 
who roam the rural South practicing penny-ante schemes, like pas-
sing off crankcase oil as rooftop sealant.  Or selling rickety RVs 
at double their cost.  The cast (Bill Paxton, who also produced, 
Mark "Marky Mark" Wahlberg, Julianna Margulies, and good ol' James 
Gammon) is able-bodied, though their characters are rarely as ab-
sorbing as the atmosphere around them.  Trying to figure out their 
schemes, though, is great fun.  Filmed in North Carolina.  (Rated 
"R"/100 min.)
