VEGAS VACATION is dumb and not much fun, either. Here's what you won't miss if you walk out early: Chevy Chase getting lost in the Hoover Dam, Beverly D'Angelo getting seduced by Wayne Newton, Randy Quaid slurping food at an all-you-can-eat-for-under-$2 buffet, Christine Brinkley with a baby in the back seat of her red sports car, Wallace Shawn as an obnoxious blackjack dealer, and an eleventh-hour cameo by Sid Caesar, as a kind old man who suffers a kinder fate than his pal Imogene Coca did in NATIONAL LAMPOON'S VACATION. Don't waste your time. (Rated "PG"/91 min.) Grade: D Copyright 1997 by Michael J. Legeros
