I've heard reports of walk-outs on Whit Stillman's THE LAST DAYS OF DISCO, which I can understand. Much like David Mamet's THE SPANISH PRISONER, the assured, stylized dialogue takes more than a little while to settle into. (Try an hour.) As does the pro- cess of sorting out the relationships between the many main char- acters. (The preppy players include Chloe Sevigny, Kate Beckin- sale, MacKenzie Astin, Matthew Keeslar, Robert Sean Leonard, and Stillman regular Chris Eigeman). Superb soundtrack, tho. I'm glad I stayed.
