A little bit of SIX STRING SAMURAI goes an awfully long way. The post- apocalyptic camp classic-wannabe-- reportedly filmed for less than 50 grand-- blends bits of everything from MAD MAX to Sergio Leone, with lots of Hong Action-style action thrown in for good measure. The re- sults are great on a scene-by-scene basis, but become quite monotonous when strung together as a feature film. We left after an hour. Jeffrey Falcon stars, co-writes, co-produces, and handled production design and costume chores. Lance Mungia directs and also co-wrote and co-produced. (Rated "PG-13"/92 min.)
