WILD MAN BLUES pairs Woody Allen with documentary filmmaker Barbara Kopple (HARLAN COUNTY, USA), who followed Allen and his wife and his sister to Europe in 1996, for an 18-city concert tour by Allen's New Orleans Jazz Band. (He's played the clarinet for years.) Hilarity ensues, as does a fascinating peek into a famous (and famous neuro- tic) person's private life. The music's pretty good, too.
