Go (1999)

Drug-dealing black comedy from director of SWINGERS starring Sarah Pol-
ley, Desmond Askew, Jay Mohr, Scott Wolf,Taye Diggs, William Fichtner,
J.E. Freeman, Katie Holmes, and Timothy Olyphant.  The hip cast is
actually worth the hype, believe it or not.  The film is also grandly
funny at times, with a loop-the-loop narrative structure that pleasant-
ly recalls PULP FICTION and JACKIE BROWN.  Takes a while to get going,
however, and the ending isn't exactly the tightest.  Doug Liman directs 
from a script by John August.  (Rated "R"/100 min.)
