Neo-noir thriller starring the usual suspects: Lust, Greed, Jealousy, and Betrayal. Plus Patricia Arquette, Dermot Mulroney, Ellen DeGeneres, Mary-Louise Parker, and ol' Don Johnson. Longish and over-complicated in the Plot Department, but also sexy, stylish, at times surreal, and often side-splitting. Ellen is a stitch as The Cop and there's a grand SOUND OF MUSIC-quoting score by John Ottman. Roland Joffe directs from a script by Ron Peer, Joel Cohen (not Coen), and Alec Sokolow.
