Limbo (1999)

LIMBO is an Alaskan-set ensemble drama-turned-wilderness survival 
story.  John Sayles' latest has a diverse cast and a multi-layered 
script.  No surprise there.  Only the pacing is potentially 
problematic, methodically measured almost to the point of monotony.  
And those grating folk songs don't help, either.  With Mary Eliza-
beth Mastrantonio, David Strathairn, Vanessa Martinez, Kris Kris-
tofferson, Casey Siemaszko, and Leo Burmester.  Sayles writes, 
directs, and edits.  (Rated "PG-13"/127 min.)
