The Thirteenth Floor (1999)

...is a ride to nowhere.  The Roland Emmerich-produced virtual-
reality thriller has a strong premise but a weak script.  (Too 
much hoop-jumping, for starters.)  Fabulous (and presumably
computer-aided) late-'30's period detail, tho...  With Craig 
Bierko, Gretchen Mol, Armin Mueller-Stahl, Vincent D'Onofrio, 
and Dennis Haysbert.  Josef Rusnak directs and co-wrote the 
screenplay, based on Daniel F. Galouye's novel "Simulacron 3."
