28 DAYS is walk-out worthy. Sandra Bullock in rehab. That's it. That's the movie. Single chick with attitude avoids DUI jail time at nutty-crunchy clinic in upstate New York. Were it played more subtly and with fewer "colorful" touches-- like the Dr. Strangelove-looking gay German group-therapy member-- it might've been moving. Or just baseline interesting. This non-drinker- whose-never-had-a-hangover-much-less-hung-around-people-who've- had-them simply scratched his head (and occasionally his ass) and left after an hour. One question: why are patients allowed ciga- rettes? Nicotine's a drug, isn't it? With Viggo Mortensen, Dom- inic West, Diane Ladd, Elizabeth Perkins, Steve Buscemi, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Azura Skye, and Alan Tudyk. Betty Thomas, the ex- pert dramatarian of THE BRADY BUNCH MOVIE fame, directs. (Rated "R"/103 min.) Grade: W/O Copyright 2000 Michael J. Legeros Movie Hell is a trademark of Michael J. Legeros
