10/29/06 27 W - + 18 - 16 Wake Forest Gear?

Question from a reader: Has Wake Forest started changing their gear, per pictures of Chief Swift wearing black G-extreme gear at the live burn?

No. Wake Forest has not began to change gear. The Chief has his own set of black gear, the rest of the dept has either the county GXtream or Morning Pride.

However, after some begging from a few of us, he said that we may go to the black gear, along with our black traditional helmets. In my opinion, it looks pretty awesome!!! I hope it happens

Sounds great. Wonder what the odds of wakeforest going to black gear would be since its rumor that chief Swift is allowing it?

Adam Brown are you a nimrod, did you not read Wayne’s post first?
guest - 10/29/06 - 18:29

Well Guest if you would read what I wrote you would understand what I was asking but no you didn’t. which doesnt suprise me being that you did’nt post your name, only posted as guest. Wayne stated “he said that we may go to the black gear” I wondered what the odds would be. if the county would allow or what not.
Adam Brown - 10/29/06 - 18:38

the county would have to as Wendell, if I recall correctly, runs black GXtreme gear already, the county only has a certain say in gear… they are not the definite

Wayne, if that happened then you know I’d be jealous!!!

The black GXtreme is nice – and the black color not only does not show dirt/age, in Wake County – it’s unique.

I imagine the black Globe will have the dye come out and turn brown just like our Morning Pride gear that we have and used to have in Garner does when you get in a good fire.
