08/01/12 46 W, 1 I - + 7 - 7 New Ladder For Columbia

Browsing the Pierce new deliveries site on Flickr, here's an interesting rig recently received in Columbia, SC. Don't see a lot of mid-mount straight-sticks anymore. Are there any around here still operating, older or newer? Mid-mount towers, yes. See more photos.

Doesn’t Bethesda or Durham have a mid mount stick?

Bethesda has a straight stick quint that they use as E411. Durham has E7, E16 and L1 that are straight sticks. and Durham also has a reserve ladder that is a straight stick

Winston-Salem does have all mid-mount apparatus; it is a mix of sticks and platforms in both 100’ and 75’ and all Sutphens. The only other mid-mount in Forsyth county is Clemmons FD with their Pierce
