On November 6, 1925, the purchase of equipment was authorized for an upgrade of fire alarm system. The Gamewell Fire Alarm Telegraph Company of Newton Upper Falls, Massachusetts was contracted for $17,318.50 to provide a 12-circuit switchboard, four battery racks, 360 battery cells, a ten-circuit repeater, 35 fire boxes, and five recording sets consisting of punching register and take-up reel.
