3-3-50 The new F.W.D. truck was brought to No. 4 sta. this p.m. It had 182 miles on speedm.
3-29-50 C. E. Nunn pulled muscle in back in raising hood on fire truck at 8:30 a.m.
4-8-50 M. E. Perry reporting out sick @ 8:00 a.m.
5-15-50 No. 4 sta. received new G. E. water fountain today
5-19-50 Reloaded hose. 1250 ft. 2 1/2 hose
5-26-50 J. A. Poole sprained ankle drilling at #2 about 11:00 a.m.
5-29-50 M. D. Williams got his left eye burnt while drilling this afternoon. He was sent to see Dr. Plummer by Chief Lloyd
5-29-50 Used 700 ft. of hose on fire drill this afternoon
6-2-50 Tel. call 1009 N. West @ 1:02 p.m. 1:12 p.m. Stove smoking, no damage
6-27-50 M. E. Perry working switchboard until further notice - started at 12:00 p.m. today
7-1-50 C. E. Nunn leaves for 15 day vacation
7-6-50 W. E. Pollard hurt right knee. He stumbled over fan stand while trying to ans. telephone around 5:00 p.m.
8-10-50 Verbal alarm. 1310 Glenwood at 7:33 p.m. 7:40 p.m.
8-16-50 G. S. Harrison changed shifts at 6:00 p.m.
9-5-50 C. E. Nunn left today for Hendersonville to attend N.C. Fireman Association meeting
9-5-50 Received supplies today

10-6-50 1941 Buick came to front door on fire up in fire wall. Used garden hose to put out. Out of town. No damage. Owned by P.F.C. Ollie McClain, Camp Lejune, N.C.

10-24-50 Changed oil. Greased truck today. 1242 miles
10-26-50 W. B. Hamilton dropped hose coupling on right foot while drilling this a.m.

11-16-50 R. R. Hailey reported back to work from sick leave at 5:00 p.m.
11-24-50 Took truck to Yates Auto Service to line up front wheels
11-26-50 Filled into #1 at 9:25 a.m. and was sent to St. Augustine College. Used 19 sections of 2 1/2 in. hose. Back in 2:30 a.m.
12-1-50 M. D. Williams was given leave of absence to go into Army. Turned in all of his clothes and equipment in good shape
1-4-51 Dug footing for new kitchen
1-4-51 Tel. Call to 609 W. Peace @ 3:02 p.m. - 3:15 p.m. Mrs. J. J. Meade was burned in stove explos. I think she was trying to build fire with gas and it explo. and burned neck, shoulders. Fire out on arrival, minor damage
1-4-51 W. B. Hamilton got trash in eye on call to 815 Ellington St.
1-4-51 W. B. Hamilton went to doctor with eye at 7:50 p.m. Chief Lloyd sent car to sta. for him
1-4-51 W. B. Hamilton reporting out sick at 10:45 p.m.
2-13-51 Telephone call. 1512 Gavin St. Grass fire. Used booster 10 min. Out 1:39 p.m. Back 2:25 p.m.
3-7-51 Summer - Polland took truck to Dix Hill today and ran pump from draft

3-20-51 Honeycutt reports back to work at 6 p.m. after being out because of his father's death

10-22-51 Chief Lloyd brought yard rake and 10 qt. bucket today to No. 4 sta.
12-15-51 Vinson burned his head with hot grease while cooking supper
12-18-51 Doc Perry's helmet #6 was loaned to #1 station for Honeycutt until Doc comes back. Order of Chief Lloyd
1-2-52 Checked air in tires on truck
1-10-52 Mr. O'Neal and FWD Factory man adjusted clutch and worked on truck today
1-11-52 We took truck to No. 2 and changed spark plugs, changed oil (3022 miles) 14 qts. - Got gas, 11 gals - And greased truck. Went to Super Service on S. Person and had wheels checked and they were not out line. Took truck to Nor. Caro. Equt. and had transfer case flushed out and oil changed in same. Also oil changed in transmission. It took 5 gallons of Esso S.A.E. No. 140 gear oil to fill these. Changed grease in differential front and back

3-23-52 Something fell on L. C. Vinson's left foot and hurt his big toe
3-25-52 Went to city hall to see C.D. [Civil Defense] truck @ 12:30 p.m. 1:15 p.m.

7-17-52 Capt. Honeycutt came back on job 7-1-52 after being out from 3-10-52 with his knee. Vacation began 7-1-52. Back 8 a.m., 7-17-52
7-29-52 R. E. Keith slipped while on ladder and skinned and bruised both of his lower legs at about 8:30 p.m.
8-1-52 Tested booster tank today
8-5-52 Received 32 gal. trash can
10-6-82 R. E. Keith reports out @ 8:00 a.m. to be exam. for U.S. Army
10-14-52 Chief Matthews got 5 shirts of Todd's to give to Fowler at No. 3
11-14-52 W. E. Pollard went to put No. 6 back in service after [pumper] wreck @ 4:00 p.m.
11-20-52 While raising 12 ft. ladder @ fire on Hillsboro St. (513), Williams put metal ladder against elect. wires, shocking his left hand and arm, numbing some and pains at wrist running up arm to shoulder. This happen @ app. 8:55 p.m.
12-2-52 Tel. call to 632 N. Dawson @ 8:22 a.m. - 9:22 a.m. Warehouse, total loss. 10 sec. hose
12-6-52 M. D. Williams taking Thanksgiving holiday
12-6-52 Received new chairs for No. 4 sta.
12-11-52 Butter Ball Keith returns 8 a.m.
12-15-52 Chief Keeter sent man (Vinson) to Hayes Barton School @ 7:15 p.m. to work program @ school
12-20-52 M. D. Williams taking Xmas day
12-29-52 Elbow fitting broke on bottom of pump. Ellis fixed same today
