Collision, 1951

While answering a call to 506 Smithfield Street on February 8, 1951, Engine 3 collided with a city bus at the intersection of S. Bloodworth and E. Martin Streets. The fire truck then crashed into the home of Mrs. L.R. Ennis at 406 E. Martin Street, while the bus bounced into an unoccupied store at 400 E. Martin Street. Firefighter James T. Talton was slightly injured.
