1500 GPM, 500 gallons. Placed in
service as Engine 5 on November 26, 1986. Removed from
service after accident on
February 25, 1990.
Engine 5 overturns at the intersection of Wilmington and
Smithfield streets, while headed to the maintenance shop at Station 2. The one
firefighter aboard, who is driving, receives minor injuries. The apparatus
overturns after striking a car that runs a red light at the intersection. The
driver of the second vehicle is transported with minor injuries.
Rebuilt by Pierce and returned to service
as Engine 15 on December 14, 1990. See
