History:
- Delivered July or August 1988.
- Placed in service on August 9, 1988
as the city's first mobile air unit, at Station 1 as Special Risk and Incident
Command Unit 1, or SR1. Center section originally contained carpeted command
module with bench seats and a table. Cascade system with bottle racks was housed
in rear.
- Moved from Station 1 to Station 5 on December 14, 1991 at 1100 hours.
- Renamed SR1 to SR5 around April 6, 1992.
- Placed in service as Haz-Mat 15 on January 10, 2003, after conversion to haz-mat
support by personnel at Station 15
- Moved from Station 15 to Station 2 [20?] on November 5, 2004.
- Removed from service as haz-mat support in February 2006.
- Placed in service as mobile command post in September 2006, after converted to mobile
command post by personnel at Station 8, who remodeled interior over four months. See below for specs.
- Retired circa 2013.
