Edenton Line of Duty Death – 1947

Edenton Fire Department firefighter Benjamin Henry Smith, 32, was killed in an apparatus accident while returning from a chimney fire on November 28, 1947. New Numbering for Wake County EMS System

The Wake County EMS System has a new numbering system for their ambulances. Now based on geographic district and shift configuration. Among the notable changes: Two-digit numbers for all ambulances.
