New Firefighting Academy at Chapel Hill High School

A new firefighting academy for high school students was announced by the town of Chapel Hill on Monday. Demolition has started on Station 2 at 1003 S. Hamilton Road in Chapel Hill. The 1959 structure will be rebuilt as a two-story structure, erected as part of a public-private partnership that will include a four-story office building on the site.
