History: Station 17 opened on April 9, 1984 at 4601 Pleasant
Valley Road. Engine 17 was placed in service with a 1981 Mack pumper. Twelve
firefighters were assigned to the station that also housed a reserve pumper. The
$277,000 station was dedicated on May 10, 1984, in a joint ceremony celebrating
both the station dedication and the graduation of a recruit academy.
Ladder 17 was placed in service on January 6, 2009, and renamed Ladder 3 on July 7, 2009. Station 17 also housed a mini-pumper from 1986 to 1998, a Battalion Chief from 2001 to 2009, and a confined-space rescue trailer for several years.
Ladder 3 is also a member of Task Force 8.
On July 7, 2021, Ladder 14 was relocated to new Station 14 on Harden Road.
